CTE Forum 2025 speakers announced

Find out who are the keynote speakers for CTE Forum 2025 from 17 to 19 March.

Churches Together in England is delighted to announce a wonderful range of speakers at Forum 2025. We believe they will inspire participants to consider our central theme One But Not The Same: Celebrating diversity – Living with difference, their personal faith and practice as well as broader issues relating to science and justice.

Bringing together more than three hundred representatives of Member Churches, Intermediate Bodies, Co-ordinating Groups and Bodies in Association, CTE’s Forum is the broadest ecumenical gathering of Christians in England.

The CTE Presidents will all be contributing to the Forum programme in different ways. Bishop Tedroy Powell will be leading worship and Bishop Paulina Hławiczka-Trotman will lead a Bible study.  Rev Dr Helen Cameron will be giving the closing address on the Pursuit of Unity

Following the recent Synodal process within the Roman Catholic Church, Cardinal Vincent Nichols will be reflecting on Synodality alongside further reflections from Archbishop Nikitas, CTE President for the Orthodox Churches, and Archbishop of the Oecumenical Patriarchate (Diocese of Thyateira and Great Britain) and Elaine Green of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers).

Looking out into the world, Rev Dr Tessa Henry Robinson will be speaking on Racial Justice and Reparations, John Cooper will bring the Call to Peace and Archbishop Doyé Agama and Professor David Wilkinson will be share their perspectives on the subject of AI and the church. Bishop Claion Grandison will be addressing the challenging subject of Change in the church.

What is the CTE Forum?

Forum happens every three years and will take place from teatime on Monday 17 March to lunchtime on Wednesday 19 March 2025 at The Hayes Conference Centre, Swanwick, Derbyshire.

The Forum programme will also include a range of workshops, time for the Marketplace with our Charities and Networks in Association, as well as a variety of worship opportunities and a small number of ‘fringe’ events. More information will be available on the Forum website in the coming weeks and months and also sent to those who have already booked their place at Forum.

CTE Forum 2025 is an opportunity to be encouraged by the diversity and depth of Christian witness in England, and to be enriched by forging new relationships and connections and listening deeply to one another. Forum is a delegate conference and therefore not open to all. Find out how you might be able to attend.
