Who can come to Forum?

Forum is a delegate conference. With very few exceptions, you must be invited by a CTE Member Church, an Intermediate Body or a Charity and Network in Association. CTE Forum 2025 takes place 17 – 19 March 2025 at The Hayes Conference Centre, Swanwick, Derbyshire. DE55 1AU.

Book now! Delegates must register by midnight on 31 January 2025

Bookings are made via Eventbrite, and you will need a link from your Member Church, Intermediate Body or a Charity and Network in Association to book. These links are sent out directly from our office.

Please book early before the cost increases

To help with this we offer incentives to those who book earlier through discounted rates. Deadlines for specific tickets can be viewed below and also on Eventbrite.

Early Bird Rate7 June 2024 to 26 July 2024
Discounted Rate (10% higher than Early Bird) 27 July 2024 to 25 October 2024
Standard Rate (20% higher than Early Bird)26 October 2024 to 31 January 2025

It helps both you and CTE hugely if people book early, these are just some reasons why:

Earlier than you may think, we start looking for people to be part of key sessions, worship and workshops. We are keen to ensure diversity in all of the Forum but can only choose from those who we know are coming.

  • Although delegations are guaranteed a place at Forum (within fire regulation limits), on-site accommodation is limited and cannot be guaranteed for later bookings. Booking early ensures that you can secure your on-site accommodation at The Hayes. When these rooms are fully booked, you will need to find and pay for your own accommodation.
  • The earlier you book, the more likely it will be that you are able to attend the workshop and worship option of your choice. Once the bookings for workshops and worship sessions open, they will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis as space is limited in some rooms. If you have already booked your place, you will be able to make your choices sooner.
  • Having confirmed numbers booked in early helps the Forum Planning Group and the CTE Staff team to organise the event.

We really appreciate your cooperation and support!

Discounted places for those under 35s

We encourage all our Member Churches, Intermediate Bodies and Charities and Networks in Association to consider sending delegates under the age of 35.  As part of CTE’s strategy to encourage engagement in ecumenism by those under 35, we have a limited number places available to those under 35 at a subsidised rate. These are only available on the Full time resident and Full time resident spouse/room share on a “first come, first served” basis. To access one of these places please ask for the booking code.

Ticket options

We are offering the following ticket types:

  1. Full time: Residential (En-suite room)
  2. Full time: Spouse/Share Residential (sharing a room – we have a limited number of twin rooms)
  3. Full time: Non-residential
  4. Day Ticket: Monday (tea and supper included)
  5. Day Ticket: Tuesday (morning coffee, lunch, tea and supper included)
  6. Day Ticket: Wednesday (morning coffee and lunch included)

Here is a list of off-site accommodation within 7.5 miles (Hotel, Bed & Breakfasts, Self-Catering, Camping & Caravan Sites), to suit different budgets.

How do I book?

  • If you are an Intermediate Body representative, your County Ecumenical Officer will send you the link for your ticket. These are paid for in advance via Intermediate Body subscriptions and, if you have used the correct link, Eventbrite will not ask you for payment.

  • Delegates of larger Member Churches and those with a special role at Forum (e.g. speakers) have been sent a special link giving them access to their tickets. If you have used the correct link, Eventbrite will not ask you for payment. Those responsible for bulk bookings should contact Lorraine Shannon.

  • There are also extra tickets available from the Catholic, Church of England and Baptist National Ecumenical Officers. These need to be paid for but please approach them directly if you want to be considered for these tickets.

  • Everyone else has to pay via Eventbrite at the time of booking. Please note that the CTE Event Bookings and Cancellation policy applies for all bookings.
  • Please ensure you use an e-mail address which you monitor as we’ll be contacting you using the email address with which you book.

Help! I need to change/cancel my booking

If you don’t already have an Eventbrite account, booking a ticket will create one. You can amend or cancel your booking by logging back into Eventbrite. Nearer the time of Forum, the ability to amend your booking will cease.

I want to come to Forum

The Forum is a delegate conference. One option is to try to join a delegation – see below. Alternatively, it is likely that we will welcome non-delegates as non-residents for all or part of the time and, from January we may, if available, also be able to release some residential places. There is a waiting list on Eventbrite for this purpose.

Joining a delegation

If you would like to be part of the delegation of your Member Church or County/Intermediate Body, please be in touch with them by following those links. In some cases the issue might be one of funding, so you may be able to negotiate a place by offering to pay for your attendance.

In the meantime, browse information about Forum and keep an eye on this page as information will be added as it becomes available.
