What happens at Forum?
Forum provides a broad programme of speakers, workshops and worship sessions as well as time to share meals and meet with friends old and new. There is also a Marketplace where you can meet with those from CTE’s Charities and Networks in Association and we have included some free time into the programme.
- The planning group are still finalising the programme and when it is available it will be on this page and sent to all those who register to attend.
- A document called ‘Who’s there and when?’ will also be downloadable below on or after 1 March 2025 and will be sent to all delegates. This will tell you who is coming to Forum and allow you to arrange lift shares if you wish.
- The programme and various lists will also be posted on noticeboards at the back of the Derbyshire Hall and in the raised lobby between the two dining rooms.
Workshops and Worship sessions
- In due course you will be offered a choice of workshops and asked to book the two you wish to attend. Please be aware that the earlier you book, the more choice you will have. Workshop lists will be e-mailed to you and will be available on the virtual noticeboard. Rooms have a limited capacity and only those who have booked will be able to join workshops with the exception of those in the Derbyshire Hall and the Main Conference Hall. Bringing with you the workshop pdf confirmation will be very helpful but there will be people with lists on the doors of each smaller room who will admit only those who have booked. This is necessary because of fire regulations and to ensure that there are enough chairs in the rooms.
- On the final evening, Tuesday, there will be a choice of evening worship, reflecting a range of traditions. In due course we will ask you to book your preferred worship option in advance to allow us to allocate suitable rooms. There is no limit on numbers for the worship options in the Derbyshire Hall, the Main Conference Hall or the Chapel but otherwise you won’t be admitted unless you have booked. Again, showing your pdf confirmation at the door will be very helpful.
- Before you come, ensure that you have whatever you need electronically or print out whatever papers you require, particularly the programme which contains most of what you need to know, and do ensure that you know your workshop and worship choices. There are no printing facilities at Forum.
A few more practicalities
- We anticipate that registration will take place at Lakeside Reception.
- There is plenty of parking near the accommodation blocks and there are also a limited number of blue badge parking spaces available. If you require a blue badge space please make sure you book one of these when booking your place at Forum.

- Other information will be posted on this page as it becomes available. If you have a query, please contact Doral Hayes, the lead CTE staff member for the Forum, or Lorraine Shannon, CTE’s Operations Manager, who is in charge of all the practicalities.
