Lord’s Prayer focus for Thy Kingdom Come 2025

Explore the new ecumenical resources and some returning favourites for TKC which runs from 29 May to 8 June 2025.

This year marks the tenth anniversary of Thy Kingdom Come, the global ecumenical prayer movement for evangelisation occurring annually from Ascension to Pentecost. This year it runs from 29 May to 8 June 2025.

To celebrate this decade of praying together, Thy Kingdom Come this year takes as its focus The Lord’s Prayer.

Since it began, tens of millions of Christians, in dozens of denominations, in almost 90% countries worldwide, have united in prayer so that friends, families and neighbours will come to know the life-transforming love of Jesus Christ. The movement, which initially began as call to prayer from the then Archbishops of Canterbury and York, has grown into a global wave of prayer. It has wider ecumenical support, including from the late Pope Francis and senior church leaders in the UK, several present and former CTE Presidents and church leaders within other CTE Member Churches.

Thy Kingdom Come Resources for 2025

New resources to support personal and shared prayer are now available for 2025 based around the theme of The Lord’s Prayer.

The resources will include an ecumenical prayer journal with reflections from a number of Christian leaders across different Christian traditions.  These include Cardinal Vincent Nichols, Archbishop Angelos of the Coptic Orthodox Church and Mike Royal, General Secretary of Churches Together in England.

New for this year is a Digital Detox devotional which is available for both adults and young people.

There will also be a new Novena and also new episodes of the TKC flagship children’s resources The Cheeky Pandas.

Faith in the North and Worship For Everyone have a produced a range of resources about the Lord’s Prayer including resources for schools, an All Age Worship service and this brand new song to help children learn the Lord’s Prayer.
