Southwark Christian Unity Commission Now Online

It now has a new 'home' online with its own website

Since the 1970s the Roman Catholic archdiocese of Southwark has had an active Christian Unity Commission. It now has a new ‘home’ online with its own website. The website will now be the Commission’s main vehicle for communicating about its work. It will also disseminate news, for example from Churches Together in England and Churches Together in South London,  about ecumenical events, publications and announcements which are likely to be  of particular interest to people, especially Roman Catholics, in the South East.

The Commission’s bulletin – Together in Christ (TiC) – containing  a wide range of material on Christian  unity originating in Southwark and beyond, has been published three times a year since 1983. The Commission has decided to stop publishing it in hard copy, but people are still invited to contribute material of the kind which TiC has included; it is now being published, in a separate section, on the website.  The website also provides free access to an archive of digitalised versions of earlier editions of TiC

TiC has been much appreciated by readers, including a number from outside the diocese. The Commission hope that in its new guise it will be accessible to a wider readership and will be just as interesting and informative as it has been for the last thirty-seven years.
