Hearing the voices of women in our churches

A Society for Ecumenical Studies webinar on Wednesday 4 May at 7.30pm.

Join a distinguished panel who will discuss how the voices of women can be better heard across the Christian traditions. On the panel:

Sr Dr Gemma Simmonds CJ is a sister of the Congregation of Jesus, director of the Religious Life Institute and senior lecturer in pastoral theology at the Margaret Beaufort Institute of Theology, Cambridge.

Dr Racheal Adebayo is a theologian and educationalist who has taught in higher education institutions in Nigeria and the UK. Currently she is a lecturer at the University of Bedfordshire, Birmingham Campus. Racheal is a member of the Society for Ecumenical Studies committee.

Rt Rev Cherry Vann was consecrated as Bishop of Monmouth in January 2020. One of the first women to be ordained as a priest in the Church of England, she has held a number of positions in the Diocese of Manchester and most recently was Archdeacon of Rochdale.
