Season of Creation 2025

Explore the ecumenical resources available to celebrate Creation Time in your church this Autumn.

The Season of Creation is an annual international ecumenical initiative. It starts on 1 September, the Day of Prayer for Creation, and ends on 4 October, the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of ecology.

The theme for 2025 is Peace with Creation. The Biblical text for this year is Isaiah 32:14-18. Find out more about this on the Season of Creation website.

“Environmental justice – implicitly proclaimed by the prophets – can no longer be regarded as an abstract concept or a distant goal. It is an urgent need that involves much more than simply protecting the environment. For it is a matter of justice – social, economic and human.” – Pope Leo XIV.
