The Bible and Discipleship Working Group is a new working group (formed late 2025) which convenes a number of Charities and Networks in Association (CNAs) and Member Church representatives to wrestle with the issues of discipleship in the 21st Century and the resources required.
A significant number of CNAs provide resources and support to enable confidence in engaging with the Bible for discipleship in everyday life. While there is a common vision, each CNA has a distinctive contribution to make to this task of equipping confident disciples. As member associations of CTE we believe that working together in God’s kingdom enables us to do more than we can do on our own.
The aim of the Group is to encourage one another and to learn together about some of the challenges and opportunities that we face in equipping God’s people with a long-term view of creating some kind of resourcing hub. It is chaired by Paul Goodliff (former General Secretary of CTE). A small sub-group made up of BRF Ministries and The Gold Project help identify key themes for discussion.
The Group meets twice a year (once in person and once online) and is open to any representatives from CNAs and member churches of CTE who wish to join. For more information or to join the group, please contact CTE Principal Officer for Mission and Evangelism, Rev Dr Ben Aldous.
The most recent gathering on 7 May 2026 focused on discipleship and AI.
The next meeting is online on 25 November 11am to 12.30pm
