The keynote speakers
Dr Sam Ewell is a theological practitioner and Benedictine oblate rooted in the Catholic tradition. A US national and permanent resident of Brazil, since 2010 Sam has lived with family in Birmingham UK. Sam currently, works as a freelance “green connector” with two Christian community development organisations (Companions for Hope and Open Door). In this role, he connects and animates residents to “be neighbours on purpose” as a convivial way of “cultivating abundant community from the ground up.”
Rev Hasna Khatun is a Pioneer Minister with an interest in Islam and Pioneer Missiology. Being from a Muslim Background, she came to follow Christ after the witness of a Jewish friend. She is keen to reference theologies from the Global South as a practitioner, writer and presenter. She has written for Grove on Christians from a Muslim Background in the UK.
The morning consists of keynote speeches with time for in-depth round table discussions. The afternoon is set aside for short papers relating to the theme from emerging early career researchers and practitioners.
The cost is £40.00 pp and includes a hot meal from the Cuddesdon refectory and teas and coffees.
