Join our annual Mission Studies Day organised by CTE’s Mission Research Network and BIAPT (British and Irish Association of Practical Theology) at Churches Together in England, 27 Tavistock Square, London, WC1H 9HH
Our speaker will be Dr Kathryn Kraft who is the Senior Research Advisor for Faith and Development for World Vision International and a Lecturer at the University of East London. The study day topic is “Towards Hope: Children, Climate Change and Justice”
In the afternoon there will be an opportunity for three short papers of around 15 minutes each. Please contact Rev Dr Ben Aldous with an abstract of 150 words if you would like to be considered for submitting some work in progress.
Dr Kathryn Kraft has worked in a variety of different roles within International Development and Humanitarian Aid, in various countries across the Middle East and the wider Arab world, as well as Southeast Asia, Haiti and West Africa. In these roles, she has worked to help empower local civil society through institutional strengthening for local NGOs, and has also worked in complex emergency responses to develop systems for monitoring, evaluation and accountability.
Full rate £32.50 (includes a hot meal and refreshments throughout the day). There is a concession rate for under 35s, emerging scholars and the unwaged of £17.50 to encourage them to be involved.
