MA Prize in Mission and Evangelism 2026 is open

The prize will be awarded for the best thesis around the themes of mission, evangelism and church planting in the UK context.

Over the past 5 years, Churches Together in England has been building a repository of MA and PhD theses across a range of topics rooted in mission and evangelism. The Mission Research Library has more than 150 MAs and PhDs from a wide range of institutions. Their topics and titles are as diverse as Overcoming class and coloniality through the reformed tradition in the twentieth century: the radical missional paradigms of the Iona community and the Council for World Mission, (a PhD from former CTE Trustee Dr Victoria Turner) through to What are the perceptions of God and the church on an urban outer estate, and what are the implications for mission? (a recent MA from Hayley Humphreys).

One of our main ways of drawing out new academic work is through our MA prize in mission and evangelism. Have you written an MA thesis over the last 12 months in the area of mission, evangelism and church planting from a UK university or theological college? Did you achieve a reasonably high mark? Would you like to enter our MA prize and stand a chance to £100.00 in cash and potentially to be published in the journal Ecclesial Futures.

The deadline for submission is 12 noon on Thursday 30 April 2026.
