Help improve safeguarding in faith settings – deadline 10 June

Contribute by completing a short questionnaire or submitting written evidence to the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Safeguarding in Faith Communities.

The All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Safeguarding in Faith Communities has launched a new inquiry looking at how the current definition of ‘regulated activity’ with children is understood and applied in faith settings across England and Wales. Thirtyone:eight, an independent Christian safeguarding charity, provides Secretariat support to the APPG, managing its administration and organisation.

The purpose of the inquiry is to assess how ‘regulated activity’ is understood and applied in faith settings, identify strengths, weaknesses and risks, and make recommendations for improvement.

This is an important opportunity to help shape future policy and strengthen safeguarding practice.

Who should take part?
We want to hear from a wide range of voices, including safeguarding leads, church and faith leaders, children’s and youth workers, volunteers, professionals, and anyone with relevant experience or lived insight.

How to get involved
You can contribute by completing the short questionnaire or submitting written evidence, sharing your experience, examples, or insights to inform the inquiry.

Get more details and find out how to take part.

The deadline for responses is 10 June 2026, so please do take a few minutes to add your voice.

Thirtyone:eight is a Charity and Network in Association with Churches Together in England.
