Thursday 2 March from 6 to 7.30pm at Churches Together in England
Rev Dr Hugh Osgood is a former CTE President and Moderator of the Free Churches Group. During a life-long passion for ecumenism, Hugh has given considerable thought as to how churches locally, nationally and internationally should engage more robustly with each other to express unity in the pursuit of truth.
In Is Kindness Killing the Church? Hugh offers pastoral letters from the leaders of the seven Revelation churches (presuming that they were restored) to our churches today.
CTE General Secretary Bishop Mike Royal said: “Hugh Osgood’s argument for both a robust and deeper level of unity is timely and is surely the only way forward for a Church that yet again is having to cope with pressures from the very society it seeks to transform. Twenty-first-century issues may differ from first-century ones but the church that faces them still needs to confront them with a unity that works rather than falters.”
Join us at the CTE offices for an ecumenical soiree bringing together leaders of churches and organisations to enjoy light refreshments and hear about this new book.
The book launch is free to attend but there is a limited capacity so registration is essential.
