The Society for Ecumenical Studies has hosted its second webinar reflecting on the impact of Covid-19. This ecumenical conversation between diverse contexts and traditions in our World Church asked: What can we learn from each other and share together across ecclesial and geographical boundaries during these unprecedented times?
The webinar, which took place on Wednesday 19 August, included a short time for discussion in randomly allocated small groups.
The speakers (see below) were Jooseop Keum, Elena Narinskaya, Moses Owusu-Sekyere and Philip Vinod Peacock . Victoria Turner was in the chair.

Speakers
Jooseop Keum is Distinguished Professor of World Christianity at the Presbyterian University and Theological Seminary in Seoul, South Korea. He served the World Council of Churches as Director of Commission on World Mission and Evangelism(CWME) and Editor of the International Review of Mission from 2007 to 2018.
Dr Elena Narinskaya is currently an associate member of Theology Department, Oxford University. She is also a founding director of the Women’s Ministries Initiative, an educational initiative within the Orthodox Church. Her main research interest lies is in the area of Scriptural studies / Biblical exegesis within the context of three monotheistic religions, ie Judaism, Christianity and Islam. Her four monographs have included research of Jewish-Christian interpretations of Exodus in fourth century Syria and Palestine, and understanding Moses from Jewish, Christian and Islamic sources.
Rt Rev Moses Owusu-Sekyere is an Educationist and a Minister of the gospel, Deputy-Director of the Apostolic Pastoral Congress, and is committed to the holistic development of people. Currently enrolled on a PhD programme in Theology, Bishop Moses holds the following qualifications: M.Phil (Administration in Higher Education); M.A (Bible and Theology); M.A (Christian Ministry); B.A Hons (History); Diploma in Education; U.K Qualified Teacher Status; Certificate in Christian Ministry and a Certificate in Bible and Prophecy. Bishop Moses presides over a network of Churches in the United Kingdom, Ghana and the United States and is a Trustee of Churches Together in England.
Rev Philip Vinod Peacock was associate professor at Bishop’s College, Kolkata, India, and one of the editors of Dalit Theology in the Twenty-First Century (Oxford: Oxford University Press, 2010). From January 2018, he has served as the executive secretary for justice and witness of the World Communion of Reformed Churches. As an ordained Presbyter in the Church of North India, Philip has been active in ecumenical work for over a decade and has written on topics of justice, Empire and marginalities.
Victoria Turner is currently a PhD Candidate in the field of World Christianity at New College, the University of Edinburgh. Her research explores how young people in Britain, engaged in missional work, understand the relationship between Christian Unity and Mission. Her PhD is funded by the Council for World Mission and she serves as the United Reformed Church Youth’s Mission Council and General Assembly Executive and is the Membership Secretary for the Society for Ecumenical Studies.
