Imaginative and creative ways of working together at local level proliferate throughout England. Many are new but a steady and proven tool of unity is the Local Ecumenical Partnership (LEP). It takes its rightful place alongside the more recent and supple structures that have emerged.
Telling the Story – the origin and development of LEPs has been reissued by the Council for Christian Unity to enable us to understand better these enduring structures. The authors offer three reflections and three challenges at the end of the booklet. Are they still valid?
Telling the Story should be read in the context of A Flexible Framework for Local Unity in Mission which charts a way for developing ecumenically in the dynamic contemporary scene with its focus on mission.
