Here are a selection of the resources which our national Member Churches and Bodies in Association have compiled.
We hope you find them inspiring…
From Churches Together in Britain and Ireland:
The Poet’s Gospel : a gospel in blank verse with rhymed parables.
From Christianity.org.uk:
The Bible Tour Lent challenge – A 40-day deep dive into the Bible. Rev Dr Helen Paynter, Tutor in Biblical Studies at Bristol Baptist College, set herself a lockdown project of releasing a video each day, until she had gone through the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. This tour shares those videos.
From the Bible Reading Fellowship:
Holy Habits: Following Jesus – online Lent Group. You’re invited to join on a journey through Lent and the life and passion of Jesus, drawing on Andrew Roberts’ new book, Holy Habits: Following Jesus, a devotional guide exploring how Jesus modelled the ten holy habits throughout his life and how we too can model the holy habits in our lives today.
From Friends of the Holy Land:
A new lenten book: Holy Week Voices from the Holy Hand which brings together voices from the first Holy Week with those from across the Holy Land in today’s Covid-hit world
From the Joint Public Issues Team (Baptist Union of Great Britain, the Church of Scotland, the Methodist Church and the United Reformed Church):
An extended list of other Lent Resources
From the Church of England:
#LiveLent2021 God’sStory: Our Story – a series of daily reflections to encourage all Christians to think about their calling, how to share their faith and reflect on the difference Christ makes in our lives.
If your favourite ecumenical lent resource is not on this list, please send a suggestion to the CTE Comms Team.
