Hours: 37.5 hours per week, worked flexibly in agreement with the Line Manager, which will include some weekends/evenings.

Contract: 36 months.

Salary: £27,300 per annum, with enrolment in the Circuit’s workplace pension scheme.

Location: Nominated churches in the Circuit and Tamworth Town centre. 

We are seeking a Christian community worker from any denomination to support and encourage our Methodist members in Tamworth as they seek opportunities to step out in faith and to share God’s love.

The successful applicant will be a prayerful, confident Christian, and a good enabler, with the ability to work with a wide variety of people:

  • connecting with, and listening to people inside and outside the church
  • discerning and encouraging
  • discovering and developing opportunities to share and deepen faith

It is envisaged that the post will develop and evolve with the successful candidate, considering their skills, gifts, and calling, whilst working closely with the Circuit staff, the Methodist stewards and members, ecumenical partners, and various groups of people within the Tamworth area.
