I need to cancel my booking

If you should need to cancel your booking (you must log into Eventbrite to do this), please note the following cancellation policy:

  • Within 14 days of the event: No refund
  • Within 1 month: 25% refund
  • Within 2 months: 50% refund
  • Over 3 months: all less £20 non-refundable deposit.

How do I log into Eventbrite?

We use Eventbrite to save staff time. We therefore ask you to go through Eventbrite to cancel or amend your booking. If you have problems using Eventbrite, please don’t be in touch with CTE but contact Eventbrite’s help service: 0800 652 8399 or email them.

Create your Eventbrite account by using the email address you used to book and creating a password. If it says you already have an account, don’t worry, but try this link. That should enable you to reset your password (even if you didn’t know you had one). You’ll now be able to log in, find your ticket and edit it.

How do I ask for a refund?

Log into Eventbrite using the instructions above. Under your name you will see ‘tickets’. Click the ticket you wish to cancel or edit. The cancellation button is very clear. Not quite so obvious is the little ‘edit’ on the right of the screen. You can change any of your details there. If the edit button is no longer available, Please be aware that we are unable to refund if you are missing just one meal, though we do ask that you let us know to avoid waste.

Can I change my booking from full-time to part-time?

We no longer invoice for part-time tickets due to the number of invoices left unpaid or needing to be chased up. Instead, we now include day ticket options which include all meals. There is no discount for anyone missing one meal. If you will be missing two meals or more, please book your ticket and then contact Lorraine Shannon who may be able to arrange an appropriate discount. (This is not an option for some conferences.)
