Books, bibles, gifts and media
CLC Bookshops (Sheffield) provided a good but limited selection of new and backlist titles, top sellers, bibles, music and gifts at the Forum. They also sought to supply books written or recommended by some of our speakers and workshop leaders, plus other relevant titles. Payment was by cash, cheque or card (except AmEx).
Rather than risk not finding on the bookstall what they wanted, delegates were asked to send an email and the item/s were set aside for them to browse or buy, whether related to the conference theme or not.
They could also contact the bookshop by email or on 0114 272 4663 with any question about resources for individuals or churches.
CLC? Who are they?
What became CLC was begun in wartime England in 1941 in the garrison town of Colchester as Ken & Bessie Adams sought to bring the relevance of the Gospel message to civilians and the armed forces alike. The weapons of their warfare were word of mouth, the Scriptures and Christian literature.
CLC International (UK) – to use the charity's registered name – is part of the global CLC mission in some 50 countries, dedicated to evangelism and discipleship through personal witness, prayer, publishing, distribution and retailing. The mission funds literature projects and initiatives around the world from its activities and from gift income.
All thirteen CLC branches run a Partnership Scheme offering discounts and other benefits to churches and organisations. Contact your local branch for more information and the relevant forms. You can also use the above link to connect with your local branch on Facebook, on Twitter and to sign up to its weekly newsletter.
