J John and Pastor Celia Apeagyei-Collins were among 70+ Evangelists and Evangelism Enablers who attended the Annual Consultation of the Churches Coordinating Group for Evangelisation at Methodist Church House on May 7th 2009.

The theme we explored was 'Proclamation in the 21st Century' and below you will find:
  1. Report from the day and 'collective wisdom' as to what proclamation is possible and appropriate in the post modern context. This report is intended for wider circulation so please copy and paste it on to other websites and send on to your networks.
  2. Headlines of reasearch findings presented on the day by Benita Hewitt of Christian Research. This shows that 3 in 4 people in the UK are searching for meaning in their lives and will look to their friends, including Christians, to belong.
  3. The Research material Power Point presented by Benita Hewitt at the GfE consultation.
  4. A GfE 'Signpost' Resource Paper: Proclamation in the 21st Century which explores the topic and provided preparitory reading for the day.

We shall continue collating material and produce a further Resource Paper on the topic of Proclamation. This will then fit in a series relating to various contemporary topics re evangelisation today to be posted here soon.
