David Evans will be the new Territorial Officer
It has been announced that Major David Evans will move from leadership of the Worthing Corps to become The Salvation Army's Territorial Ecumenical Officer on 20 July. He will succeed Lieut-Colonel Jonathan Roberts whose new role will be in The Salvation Army's Publishing Department.
In making this announcement, Jonathan Roberts, who will have been in post for just a year, points out that Salvation Army officers 'receive' appointments rather than 'apply' for them. He speaks warmly of David Evans, testifying to his 'good ecumenical experience in England and Wales'. David, for his part, promises to 'endeavour to follow Jonathan with the same passion for ecumenism'.
